Certified Specialists

Our Certified Professionals Protect You from Pests

Our mission is to provide you with the best customer service and the most effective, environmentally friendly techniques available today.

Our PMPs are fully licensed and certified by the states of Washington and Oregon. To qualify for a license, the technician must pass a ‘Laws and Safety’ exam, along with specific category exams, and show demonstrable knowledge of proper pesticide application and techniques.

Attaining certification, however, is only one part of the Pioneer education. Our PMPs:

  • Participate in (intensive) in-house training, weekly and monthly meetings.
  • Attend annual training seminars through the state and national pest management associations for continuing education credits.
  • Complete and pass the Purdue University Pest Management Correspondence Course: Introduction to Urban and Industrial IPM.
  • Receive industry publications to stay abreast of current laws and techniques.
  • Carry cameras, so if an unknown pest is found, the photo can be emailed on-the-spot for identification by and recommendations from a technical entomologist.
  • Wear company uniforms and carry photos IDs.

In addition, all Pioneer employees participate in company meetings and receive training in pest identification, biology, and habits; Integrated Pest Management (IPM) inspection, exclusion, and application; and customer communication and consultation. So no matter what problem a customer may bring to us, we can respond with the most progressive, effective solutions.
